The radiating pain to legs in case of prolapsed intervertebral disc disease is a disabling symptom which can last upto variable duration with majority of patients having resolution within 12 weeks and it’s this period which demand a effective treatment , for which selective nerve root blocks appear to be superior than caudal epidurals.
