In lymphatic filariasis, patients occasionally present with chyluria, hematochyluria alone or along with other clinical manifestations like lymphangitis, lymphadenitis, elephantiasis, chylocele, chylothorax or chylous ascites. The chyle or hematochyle may clot leading to severe colicky abdominal pain, hypocholesterolemia, hypoproteinemia and anaemia.
